This past year has been incredible. Being able to hold the title of “Miss Teen Draper International" has really helped me to be involved with my community. I have loved being able to serve and connect with those who I probably wouldn’t have otherwise met. I have gotten to know a lot of the girls that I will be competing against and I can already tell you how much I love them. They each have such unique gifts that they were given and they are using those gifts to change the world. I could not be prouder of them! We have already become such close friends and will continue to grow our lifelong friendships. The Utah International Pageant is unlike any other pageant. It is based on community involvement through service. This is the main reason I chose to be involved with his specific pageant. I loved that it wasn’t just about the beauty, the talent, or the looks, but it was about truly becoming involved with your community and interacting with those that need help.

Currently I am scrambling to get things ready for the big day! I have all my dresses and just put together me and my cute mini miss’ platform costume. Now my mind is on the little things... making sure I have the right jewelry, makeup, hair products, etc... and of course running through interview questions and modeling whenever I have the chance. Yes it is a lot!! But yes I love learning all these new things about myself and knowing that when I set my mind to something, I CAN accomplish it no matter how difficult. I’ve learned so much about myself and others through this experience and I cannot wait to get on that stage and share my platform. I never thought in a million years that I would be in a pageant... but I chose to STAND UP! and Dare to be Different. Through doing this I can honestly say I found so much more about myself than I even knew was there. With help from Miss Teen Utah International, Madison Baldwin, Miss Utah International, Maddie Jonely, and my coach, Amy Davis, I am confident to say that I am ready more than ever to show how hard I have worked. In these few short months I have learned, grown, and taught. I learned who I am, have grown into a person I am proud of, and taught others the things I learned for myself. And I am ready!! Thank you for following me on this journey. It truly has been incredible! If you would like to watch me at the Miss Teen Utah International Pageant, it will be held February 15-17th at the Valentine Theater in Lehi. Thank you all for your support!!
